Twofer Card Challenge #19 ~ Winners!

Hello!

It's time to announce our Winners and Honorable Mentions for Twofer Card Challenge #19! Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and your sensational card designs! You all did a wonderful job with the NAUTICAL prompt and you rocked the concept of two different designs for two different occasions!

Once again, it was such fun seeing the ways you stretched your design skills and used the same stamp, stencil, or die in creative ways on both your design layouts!

Here are the winners!

Congratulations to our August "Conventional" Winner!
Lisa (My Paper Tales) #35
Lisa did a remarkable job of making two distinctly different designs with her old sailing ship. Not only did she enclose her image in two different ways, she cleverly utilized additional elements of color, orientation, angles, bling, patterned paper, flourishes, and sentiment placement to emphasize the differences in her fresh and beautiful designs!

Congratulations to our August "Unconventional" Winner!
Again, we see two distinctly different designs with Marianne's spectacular cards! She handmade the DSP on her friendship card using white heat-embossing on kraft with a sediment on vellum created in such a way that the paper seems like it was found in an old maritime museum. For her birthday card, Marianne brilliantly turned seashells into ice cream cones! Her soft rainbow coloring makes your mouth water for some cooling sorbet!

Well done, Lisa and Marianne!
Here is your Winner's Badge to proudly display on your blogs!
I will be in touch with details about being our future Guest Designers!

Congratulations to our fabulous August Honorable Mentions!

Brenda (Inkspired to Stamp) #3
Brenda's two distinctly different designs feature a wonderful wavy ocean as her prompt element. She created a full ocean of waves on her first design with the placement of the boat and wonderful clouds giving the impression of a delightful windy day at sea. For her second punny design, Brenda created a terrific porthole view of the waves with a playful jumping dolphin and a warm sun setting on the horizon.

Robyn's two different designs feature a small sailboat as her nautical element. For her first design she added the boat to a stylized ocean scene, beautifully colored and visible through a textured and detail silver-embossed porthole. A wavy embossing folder added even more texture. For her second design, Robyn stamped and colored two of the small sailboats as toys on gently-flowing stenciled water. A terrific birthday card design for a young lad!

Cheryl (Paper Panacea) #28
Cheryl went the extra mile to create two distinctly different designs when she created a never-ending birthday card for her first design. You'll want to click over to see the photos of the design to get the full impact of all the elements and patterns involved in her fun creation! For her second design, Cheryl's sailboat is waving hello as it bobs along on a lovely ombre sea, cleverly framed by a wavy die-cut edge!

Jane (Onions and Paper) #32
Jane used an old beloved seagull stamp for the nautical element on her two distinctly different designs. For her birthday design, Jane took paper-piecing to a whole other level with her colorful textured beach huts! She carried those patterns and colors to the foreground of her design with her sentiment matting. For her second design, Jane let her seagull be the solitary star of the show as he posed proudly atop a wooded pier piling, backed by the ocean and punctuated with a seashell!

Vicky's delightful cards represent how it's possible to make two distinctly different designs using a clean and simple style for each one! Her crisp and clean creations, using just a few elements really well, resulted in designs that have the fabulous impact of transporting us to far-away tropical islands! (Vicky has returned from a long Bloggie break, so if you remember her [or even if you don't], please click over and welcome her back to our supportive community of crafters!)

Congratulations to all you talented ladies!
Here is your Honorable Mention badge for you to display with pride!
