Twofer Card Challenge #4 Winners!

Hello!

It's time to announce our Winner and Honorable Mentions for Twofer Card Challenge #4! Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and your sensational card designs! I can tell you that we had a difficult time choosing our favorites because you all did a wonderful job with the PETS prompt! Thank you so much!!

Congratulations to our April Winner!
Maria entered twice and both sets of Twofers were so creative, colorful, and fun. Every detail of all four designs was thoughtful and precisely executed. Maria's love of card-making and fun just radiates from each of her delightfully crafted cards!

Well done, Maria! Here is the Winner's Badge for you to proudly display on your blog!

Here are your fabulous Honorable Mentions!

Lee Ann's stenciled background is colorful and stunning behind the full-body images of both the Great Dane and the Chihuahua in her first card. For her second card, Lee Ann did an amazing job of masking and coloring her herd of welcoming neighbors! Stamping each of the Great Danes at varying heights is remarkably creative, as is popping the Chihuahua here and there!

Marcia's little dog looks so adorable on both designs. Her birthday card represents the gray all-over appearance of warm winter days when the snow turns to mud. You can see how filthy the little pup is from digging under the wood-grain embossed fence! Marcia's second card design is so sweet with the pretty sky opening behind the colorful pup as he lovingly donates his bones to the recipient! The long twine bow is a perfect finish!

Marina used a darling goldfish for her pet. Placing him in a large fish tank with all the necessary bright and colorful accouterments was delightful, but turning the fish tank into a shaker card with sequins at the bottom made the design genius! Marina kept her second design perfectly CAS as a little note card, but she gave it lots of personality with her coloring and shimmery bubbles!

Rosi really put a lot of work into her Christmas card using her pudgy cute cat and two of its friends. Creating the fun scene involved a lot of cutting and masking. Even the floor looks sensational! For her second card, Rosi managed to squeeze the same cute cat into a hot air balloon adorned with fussy-cut little fishes for lots of fun! Her coloring with different mediums on both designs is bright and sensational!

Jacquie presented two fun designs for the challenge with her pet chickens. Her first card replicates a hen house with the four openings cut from her woodgrain panel. Inside the openings, it appears two of the egg-layers don't quite know what to make of the Hip Chick and placing the sentiment in the fourth opening makes the design whimsical and balanced. For Jacquie's second card, you cannot help but giggle at the "girls," especially the one who stands out with her rainbow hair and rainbow stockings!

Congratulations to all you talented ladies!
Here is the Honorable Mention badge for you to display with pride!

We look forward to seeing more of your creative and awesome Twofer Card Challenge designs next month! The challenge will run from May 10, 2018 to May 24, 2018

Thank you again!! Mwah!

Reminder ~ Twofer Card Challenge #4 ~ PETS

Have you shown us your pet yet?! There's still time! The challenge closes at the end of the day on April 24th!

It's been so fun seeing your entries and hearing your stories of your pets and even seeing some of your photos! The entries reminded me of the pet tree frog our son brought home from school when it closed for the summer. We had him for two years. We named the frog "Fred." I know, so original!

In memory of Fred, here are two more Twofer designs to inspire you!
Yes, that's right, Fred was a girl frog and sometimes she liked to wear hot pink eye shadow and false eyelashes and put on her fetching pink body suit! She also liked riding around on the hood of the Mayor's VW Bug. (I'm not saying we anthropomorphized Fred, but you can say it if you like.) I used my Ziggies and winked the windshield and lights. Fred was fussy cut (see below) for his ride on the Bug.

The Mayor is finally retiring, so this card is for him. The adorable frog is from Penny Black, the VW and license plate sentiment are from PTI and the "road" is from MFT. It is actually a curved line die. To make it horizontal I laid my paper sideways over the die which meant some of the die stuck out on both ends. I placed another piece of scratch paper over the top of it to keep those exposed die ends from cutting my plate. Running it through meant the gray paper was cut in half, of course, so then I just taped the two panels back together on my folded card so that it looked like a "road."

For this birthday card design, Fred came as herself complete with a birthday present in the format Penny Black intended. The sediment is very old from GKW. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug. A one-layer quick and clean and simple card, otherwise known as OLC QACAS.

HAVE FUN!
THANK YOU FOR PLAYING!
