Hello!
It's time to announce our Winners and Honorable Mentions for Twofer Card Challenge #16! Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and your sensational card designs! You all did a wonderful job with the THINGS WITH WHEELS prompt and you rocked the concept of two different designs for two different occasions! Once again, it was such fun seeing the ways you stretched your design skills and used the same stamp, stencil, or die in creative ways on both your designs!
Here are the winners!
Congratulations to our May "Conventional" Winner!
Kathy used a motorcycle for her common stamp on both designs. The card in the back in the photo is in the shape of a motorcycle jacket! If you have a minute, click over to scroll down and see her other photos of this card: closed showing the zippers and open showing the gift card holder. It's amazing! And her birthday card is also fun with its ink-smeared indication of speed and fluffy white exhaust.
Congratulations to our May "Unconventional" Winner!
Robyn used a bicycle die for her common die on both designs. She made her bike super pretty and shiny for her first design focal point, which she placed in front of a beautifully colored background decorated with flowers. For her fun second design, Robyn turned her bike's front wheel into many shiny and delicious-looking lollies in a jar! It's CAS, crisp, colorful, and very clever!
Well done, Kathy and Robyn!

Congratulations to our fabulous May Honorable Mentions!
Bonnie also used a motorcycle as her common stamp on both designs. She created sensational movement of the bike across the panel of her birthday card with expert second- and third-generation stamping. For her second design, Bonnie left us in stitches with her very inventive use of the motorcycle wheels as eyeballs on her crazy bird to emphasize the weird/awesome sentiment she used!
Pia used a Tim Holtz retro car die for her common die on her two designs. She created two terrific scenes. Her first design shows her red-glittered auto driving home at night through the snow with the Christmas tree strapped to the top of the car. For her birthday card scene, Pia has her car driving down a stenciled road with a beautiful cityscape in the background.
Helen used a set featuring adorable bicycling puppies for her common stamp on both designs. Her birthday card features the riding pup as her focal point in a scalloped circle frame. The background is filled with bicycles in rainbow colors. For her second design, Helen made a long card to showcase all three pups in various stages of a bike race: at the start line, tearing up the track, and receiving first prize for the win!
Brenda used a race car as her common stamp for both her designs. She is proudly from Indianapolis and she designed her first card to show her race car driving across the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway "Yard of Bricks." For her second Valentine design, Brenda used a large red foil heart as a backdrop for her race car and cleverly created the perfect sentiment using stamps and dies!
Verna used a ship's wheel as the common stamp on her two nautical designs. The wheel and boat work beautifully with her spiritual encouragement sentiment and the splashy stenciled background is perfect for the water element. For her second design, Verna used the wheel as a well-designed border sandwiched between red and white frames for her "hello" card with a bold and fun sentiment.
Congratulations to all you talented ladies!
