Twofer Card Challenge Rules:
- Make two different card designs for two different occasions using the same stamps and/or dies.
- This is a card-only challenge, but any style is welcome.
- Follow the monthly prompt and follow this blog.
- To help the DT visit you, link only ONE photo showing both cards.
- Link to this challenge in your blog post. No backlinks, which means your post date and time must be after the challenge date.
- Leave an encouraging comment below for the Design Team.
- Leave encouraging comments on three (3) other gallery entries.
- You may enter up to three (3) times.
- You may enter five (5) additional challenges.
The goal is to stretch your creativity as well as your stamps and dies by making two distinctly different designs using the same prompt stamp or die!
In order to stretch your design skills, try a different style with your second card! In order to stretch your schtuff, try using the prompt stamp or die in an unexpected way on your second card!
Please read the very specific information about design layout and using stamp-and-die pairings, negative/positive dies, other stamp sets, etc. under the tab "FAQ" (frequently asked questions) above. The use of NBUS (Never-Before-Used-Schtuff) is encouraged, but not a requirement.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Darnell on your awesome new and very different challenge in blogland! As soon as I saw all the inspiration this a.m. I was ready to create. I got my cards entered in your challenge tonight. Luckily the 2nd card was real CAS and quick:-) It was a fun way to create. Make one card and then keep your supplies out, which makes the 2nd card much easier:-)
ReplyDeleteHugs and thank you again Darnell and all your very talented DT:-)
What a fab idea Darnell - hoping I can join in with your challenge but off on holiday shortly so may have to miss this first one. Fingers crossed I can get some super quick mojo happening! A beautiful selection of cards from the DT!

Love your new challenge! Great cards and inspiration by the design team!
ReplyDeleteI came back to leave my comments, hoping blogger got their issues fixed but I guess not...oh well...anywho wanted to say what gorgeous cards you all have created...all so creative and fun! And wanted to say what a well run challenge, I love a GOOD challenge too, one that you have to think to enter..keeps the old mind going...I hope entrants read your rules though, we have lots that don't, and it annoys me..lol...anyhow...I can see this is going to take off strong...have fun!!
ReplyDeleteGreat challenge idea! Great inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGreetings! I fell in love with this challenge as soon as I saw it! The cards are beautiful and inspiring - I love seeing a stamp I have (the birds singing on the branch) being used in a creative way. I have LOTS of stamps, but don't use them much - I tend to use the same stamps over and over, without branching out, so this challenge is perfect for me! You did mention not using stencils in the FAQs, I'm hoping you meant as the main image, as I did use stencils in my backgrounds. Looking forward to more! Lindart
ReplyDeleteThank you for your enthusiasm! Yes, you can use stencils as a secondary element on your cards. I've edited the FAQ to clarify that, so thank you for asking! Hugs, Darnell
DeleteI tried to comment yesterday but Blogger was in a bad mood and I clicked and clicked and clicked on that darned Publish button and nothing happened (not just on this blog but on almost every blogger blog I visited) so I'm here to try again.
ReplyDeleteWonderful challenge, a great excuse to use one of my old favourite stamps, and the DT samples and all the lovely entries in the gallery look wonderful. I can see this is going to be a huge hit!
Jane
... and it only took 45 clicks of the Publish button this time. How sad that I counted!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, Darnell. You've chosen something totally different. Collected an amazing Design Team with gorgeous samples, and made it impossible for people (like me) who are challenge junkies to go without trying their hand at this challenge. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of this challenge, Darnell, so glad you brought it to us! I think it will be fun and require a good bit of thought too. But what I'll like the best is using my supplies, nous or not - twice!
ReplyDeleteLovely and inspiring work from all the team. Thanks!
Hi Darnell, well finally joined in.. took several goes but made it!!
ReplyDeleteRealised after making first card blue one it didn't meet all criteria so started another!

What a fun challenge and thanks for sharing those fabulous creation! Congrats on the first Twofer Card Challenge Darnell!
ReplyDeleteI goofed when I tried the first time to link - it has been awhile since I did this. But I had to try when I found out about this new challenge. thank you for the challenge to make, not one, but two, cards.
ReplyDeleteWoot Woot for you, Darnell! Congrats on this new challenge blog. Love the two-fer idea.... and LOVE the DT creations! Just linked up my cards, and you really encouraged me to think outside the box and go for two different aesthetics. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this concept! Everyone on the Design Team has given us terrific inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI think I got so excited about playing along with the Twofer that I forgot to compliment you on your very own beautiful two-fer! I just love the way you used those feathers to create a subtle wreath with great colors, and that schparkly little bow is just perfect! The single feather is perfect for a sympathy card too and I like the great colors of that along with the white sentiment. It's very calming and soothing to me. Great job on both! Thanks for this fun challenge too :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful concept. Just when challenges start to feel the same - you come up with a unique, original and fun idea! I'll be back to play along!
ReplyDeleteDarnell - what a fantastic challenge. So happy to have found it! Congrats to you and your DT on the wonderful cards for the first challenge.
ReplyDeletewhat a fun challenge, Darnell. You and your team created great cards as have so many of your fans. Had trouble with Google, but finally entered my cards. Smiling now.
ReplyDeleteI had FUN making my entries! Love your card as well as the DT cards - with luck I may have recovered by two weeks time in order to pay again! I always have trouble using the Blue Frog linky - must be me I know but it seems detwemined to ad what IT want to add and not what I ask it to. Naughty frog!

Well, that was a World Record for typos - but you get my drift I hope!

Took a while for me to find time to play along, but so glad I did. Love the idea, love the inspiration from the DT and from fellow crafters!
ReplyDeleteWell I wasn't going to enter but then I found a feather stamp and the rest as they say is history. I love all the DT's card which didn't then leave much room for manoeuvre so my second card might not pass the scrutiny test set by Hammy!!.
ReplyDeletehugs Mrs A.
