Hello!
It's time to announce our Winners and Honorable Mentions for Twofer Card Challenge #7! Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and your sensational card designs!
You all did a wonderful job with the BEVERAGE prompt! Once again, it was a lot of fun seeing the ways you stretched your stamps and dies in conventional and unconventional categories!
Thank you so much!!
Congratulations to our July "Conventional" Winner!
In both of Linda's fabulous designs she used a champagne flute stamp. Her first card is a classically beautiful anniversary card. The background is gorgeous and she used a gold oval frame, gold rings, gold champagne, and a gold embossed '50' to earmark this special golden anniversary. The celebration banner for the sentiment is so fitting! Her second card is a thank you card for a party and one can instantly tell the party was a lot of fun! The silver-embossed row of drinks is very inviting on the Washi tape tablecloth with a happy sun looking on with approval!
Congratulations to our July "Unconventional" Winner!
Susan's "Let's Do Coffee" card looks so deliciously inviting! She has paid incredible attention to detail with her embossed background, coffee bean embellishments, and her take-out cup with swirled whipped cream, lid, straw, and ribbon. For her second card, Susan very cleverly turned her take-out cup over and made it a Christmas snow globe! Her happy snowman with the floating snow scene inside the globe and the snowy embossed background are beautifully executed!
Well done, Linda and Susan! Here is the Winner's Badge
for both of you to proudly display on your blog!
Congratulations to our fabulous July Honorable Mentions!
Jacquie Southas (What Did I Do Today?) #14
Jacquie Southas (What Did I Do Today?) #14
Jacquie's first card is a conventional design with clean lines and a fresh color combination of white, navy and a little pop of bright teal. Her second card is an unconventional design using the coffee cup die upside down and creating some fun and very yummy looking popsicles, just perfect for a hot summer's day! The strawberry, orange, and lemon flavors of these icy treats really pop off the deep blue background!
While both of Marcia's cards used the PTI teacups in a conventional manner, one is beautifully filled with pretty blossoms, and the other holds a couple of playful mice! The first cup is perfectly set off with a "thinking of you" sentiment diagonally repeated on a white tag and set against a great two-panel background. Her 'Christmice' card is adorable in coordinating reds and greens, and those little critters are just the right size for a game of hide-and-seek inside the teacups!
Coni's invitation could not be more inviting with her gold-labeled bottled of red wine, filled glass, bit of flora, and wedge of cheese, all lovingly framed in ovals! And her second design using the same wine glass is a virtual party on a tag, backed by an explosive embossed card! The fun sentiment and picnic ribbon add more fun, but the real tickle comes from how Coni made her shimmery tilted wine glasses into wobbly action figures! Clink!
Cornelia's crisp and clean conventional card, with its row of partly filled bottles and glasses, is brilliantly colored and the splashes each side of the sentiment add a party feel to the "Let's Celebrate" greeting! For her unconventional card, Cornelia cleverly turned one of the bottles into an inkwell, with a delicate, elegant feather acting as a quill pen. An ink splat, pops of aqua, and a double trim border of Washi tape add fun and interest to her second crisp and clean design!
Kati has given us two humorous coffee card designs! For her "instead of flowers" card, her vintage lady is bearing an armful of delicious iced and creamy coffees! The background circle, flag, and pretty patterned paper make this a lovely feminine card. For her second card, Kati created a different design with pretty blue and art deco patterned paper. She used another lovely vintage young lady, this time bearing a tray of large coffee yumminess, and a laugh-out-loud sentiment!
